I'll never forget my first surf at Bournemouth Pier.

pissing rain, straight onshore gales and brown water waist high junk full of polluted stormwater.

50 people out.

just about every surf I had in the UK, I did under sufferance from having my manhood compared unfavourably to the more hardy Brit.

Gawd, had two surfs yesterday before a late lunch. Pretty flawless conditions and hot. Got some good big ones in the morning go out. Second session I was so stuffed I could hardly paddle. Minimal crowds. Got some nice nose rides. Hottest and sunniest day up here. Made a point of not noticing the nubile female short boarder in a g string who made a point of paddling directly in front of me then did a bum up duck dive in flat water to cool off.......and by made a point I obviously mean...
