Wind swung around here around midday. Semi Okay lunchtime session. Looked better near dark. I've had so many waves lately. Rashed to buggery.

I think you need to sort out your backhand first. I was fretting about it when I was in the water this morning and concluded that it’s mostly in the shoulders. You really need to open them up on your bottom turn, get that right hand pointing at the lip

To tell the truth eggs are one thing I avoid buying when I’m grocery shopping. So you may say I’m an intermittent egg buyer who usually lets someone else buy them.

Well the swell just disappeared. Just when I have a proper day off. Fcuk!!

Yesterday I had the kids and it was off it’s head everywhere here. Was hoping for a little more today but it’s not to be.

Poo stancing is a Wales thing, you know that as well as I do.

No hooting, but yes a passing comment here and there ‘nice wave’, etc.

It was breaking pretty shallow and dicey on the reef, with only three of us out.

God, is there anything worse than that over-coached "open your shoulders" thing that intermediates do when they think they are ripping?

Yes, yes there is. It's the over coached “pop-up" that pre intermediates do because they watched a surf strength video on Youtube

I'd be thrilled!

Would then provide a video of me doing a carving 360

and...no more Bonzers left. A bunch of MCs, a 5'10" MG roundtail, an extremely rare 6'1" FW internal carbon skeleton model from maybe 2009? A 5'9" Burning Spears Pelagic six channel? The list goes on

On the subject of opening the shoulders, a few months of skating has changed my snowboarding stance a fair bit, my back foot is not ducked out as much and my shoulders are more open.

The swell has dropped and swung more south. So while there are still plenty coming through it doesn't have the connecting drive of the first few days. Much more crowded. There's an interesting cast of characters in the line up. Log City of course. Heaps of female log riders, plus hipsters, kids, learners and old stagers like myself. Plus a few middle aged "chargers". Because of the easy take off you get some super novices thinking they are dominating. Plenty of opening shoulders but not much turning involved.

Saw a guy have a total spack out a few days ago. Must have an ice problem. Lost it after missing a wave but then proceeded to hold his head a snarl loudly for quite a while afterwards. There was a brief pause between the two reactions. Thing was the crowds weren't that bad then compared to now. Plenty of waves.
