Two sessions out the farm today 3-4 foot . Not so crowded for once but both frustrating surfs with no designated take off zones . Still got some good waves in amongst the crap with the morning being better wind wise .
Surprising it was as big as that.
So was I and a mate told me that only an hour or so before 8 it wasn`t even breaking . I only went there as a last resort , did a double take and suited up damn quick . I barely surf there anymore - it either has to a week day or a big day for me to think about going there .
Home was starting to get swell when I finished the arvo session at the farm so I`ll do dawn patrol tomorrow .

Noice. I'll be doing sound for a few little gigs in the Sh'lahba village over september/october, so I should be able to explore the local breaks....

Finally got out on this swell and despite the crowds got a few waves. Water not too cold plus a good park.

Farm always looks like a country version of Bondi.

on 3-4 foot days like today it gets a few people on it and doesn't have too much push. at that size i normally don't bother with it. today i surfed it as it's next to mystics and the wind picked up from the north (offshore).
only thing it's got in common with bondi is it faces south. the farm actually handles south groundswells and has much better mix of banks, proper ones not closeouts like bondi. on double overhead days it can be a great wave, big peaking a-frames with steep takeoffs and an angular bowl to carve into.
