Ah well.
Lovely stuff down my way. I thought the SWesterly might flatten it but it hadn't at dawn. Came in at about 7.30 absolutely stuffed.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

However, as I was leaving, the council was opening up the car parks.
Open car parks, eased travel restrictions, long weekend...………….. I think I'll stay at home now till Tuesday.

The irony...restrictions eased and it's time to stay home voluntarily! It's going to be an invasion this weekend!

What’s the name of that extremely tasty, fast-folding, highly desirable left sometimes right up the top end of Lighthouse, Ballina. The one that never works, ever.

I call it north lighthouse or out front of the surf club

Some times I call it speedland as it’s kind of off the south end of speeds reef while nth Shelley lefts in an east swell I call shelleywatu.

But I’m not sure anyone else does.

I have and I’ve seen a few others but very rare.
I took this photo in winter 2017 when there was plenty of shark fear still. The 2nd shot is just cropped in of the first.
Nth wall had been completely gutted for sometime after an earlier swell that year and the bar had all the sand.
This solid sth swell hit with an all day westerly and the bar was absolutely firing and big.
No one went out.
I’ll leave the size guesstimates to you guys.

This gives an idea of the size straight out from the lookout.

It's the less sand on the bar the more energy that can get upstream as it doesn't all get lost breaking on it.

Must be sharkier than the Tweed Bar. There would have been a tow in crew on it.

Land of lefts around here atm. Seems like the natural to goofies ratio has been reversed too.

Those lefts at ‘watu must have looked sensational paddling out this morning. It looked longer than yesterday.
