I'm in rack 'em and stack 'em mode now.

Thanks Cranky. I’ll just say it very very frustrating. Going to try and get needled up. Related to history of bone infection last year and was on prednisone for a while, amazing for pain but drove me to the edge mentally, won’t be going there again (Immuno IGA, IGG etc..all back to normal thank goodness re: Covid 19)
Anyway....on with the surfing. Been pretty good. Last Monday here at Avoca point/in front of trees was 6-8ft and I saw pretty high quality surfing on display. Probably a few pros/wanna be pros out there I’m guessing.

Surfed Big Left at Flinders two days ago. It was one of the nicest surfs I have had in a very long time. Beautiful clean water, glassy conditions and easy long rides.
Spoiled only by the view now being destroyed by some massive house being built on the cliff. Damn shame

Tumour on a nerve in my hip. Can’t lay on my board. I was meant to have surgery today, but it’s been postponed until Tuesday. Hopefully back in the water in a couple of weeks.

Geez, sux be Thud or BA. Hope you both recover some time soon.
Meanwhile, I cannot recall Bondi looking so utterly shit surf wise since the closure. The last day I had a surf here, the Sunday after that fateful Friday, was kinda nice. Since then; straight handers from Buckler to Icebergs ...fr 1ft to 4tf.
This arvo, it seemed like Bondi was mad as hell and ain’t gonna take it anymore, and about a dozen emoboldwnwd souls ventured out into abject close outs. Suffice for the occasional inshore reform rolling through at the south end, 9/10 set waves broke end to end sth/nth complete close out.
Mind you the light was divine, the water temp inviting and the passing parade of Uber chic fitness babes totes easy on the eye.

I agree. Bronte not much better. Makes being sensible that bit easier. My wayward trip to Wanda was a nice diversion but wouldn't really be worth a return given the quality either. I imagine a few reef breaks further south would have been lighting up with that solid straight swell though. Council seems to be more tolerant of surfers now.
