"Hey"
Has the word "hey" at the end of each sentence become a fashion?
I have noticed a bunch of people saying it a lot, NC and xander are some examples on realsurf. Not at all a criticism, i seem to do it sometimes.
It sortof reminds me of when people used to say "but" at the end of each sentence....

I've spent the last five weeks listening to different podcasts, mainly news, documentaries, and general crap. The most consistent thing that people said was 'you know'. It was farkn incredible, Britons, Aussies, Yanks, various African countries, an Israeli, from the highly educated to normal slobs, even reporters were in on the act.
Hey is something, but You Know is the new allrounder.

aye/eh at the end of every setence is a canadian inflection.
see simpsons, south park and of course trailer park boys have a few examples.
"they put in the slow class because i'm canadian, eh"
or
"take off, eh"

It's the same for people who say 'you know what', I always say 'yeah I know him, he's an arsehole'.
