RealSurf Christmas Drinks, FRIDAY 12th DECEMBER
Someone said on the other thread that we should start a new one which we could use to organise the chrissie drinks.
So here it is. Open to suggestions for the venue as well as possible dates (I would say probabaly after the 10th of December and before 25th)

Friday 12th, while Hatchman's in town ... it's gonna be hard to find anywhere that isn't packed to the rafters in the CBD but there aren't too many other options really to make it easier for everyone ... (personally I'd be happy with The Sands ... or MV pub is at least close to Retravision) ...
if we go to the opera bar again at least BB will feel right at home ... you know with all the sex in the toilets going on ...

Work xmas party is on the 12th at the Clock Hotel in Surry Hills. I could hit the work party later after getting tanked with you folk. It'll be on the way home. Long walk home to Coogee after that.
Or I could just abandon the work party altogether. Whoever I drink with first is where I will probably stay, so I'll get to this first.
I'm good for anywhere in town.
Puurri's suggestion sounds good. Probably prefer that to the opera bar. Food would be a good idea, just in case I find myself drinking with Butts (and maybe Coops from the sound of things)

I'm not precious about the venue but I like puurri's idea, I've been to a few of those roof top pubs back from the rocks and they can be a pretty good location and liitle more of a casual atmosphere ... face it, most of us don't look fully at home with those city slickers and bankers that hang around the opera bar ...salty wrote:I vote same venue, despite the price of drinks and long queues.
