For a while I’ve suspected a couple of people that I know (who are New Zealanders) that have been posting on here anonymously without telling me. I just thought I could flush them out with this thread.
What I got was a brief history lesson and a few frustrated posters into culilingus and stretchy raincoats.
I can’t win.

^^^ you definately seldom get what you expect in these forums. Mentioning Ewen Chatfeild takes me back to a golden age for NZ cricket. Reid and Wright, the Crowes, Bruce Edgar, Cairns, Sneddon, Bracewell and Boock and Hadlee of course. But I digress. Not much cannabilism goes on these days. Only if you drop in on one of the boys @ Indies.

where did you go, stewart island?Shaunm wrote:Went there years ago. Pubs closed @ 9, TV coled @ 10 and you had to be 21 to drink.
Pretty place, pretty boring place.
i would say in comparison to the likes of brisbane its a LOT more interesting. Pubs open 24 hours, super markets open 24 hours and sell beer and wine inside the super market (here your lucky if you get a bottle o attached to the super market, not the same thing), indoor snow stadium for mid summer snow boarding, great beaches within easy access (unlike brisbane), islands to explore off the door step, better quality food, friendly people, a indigenous culture that is respected, great casino and on and on and on.
i remember when i moved to bris, the supermarkets werent even open on a sunday and they shut at 4pm on a saturday. EEEK! needless to say i left.
