You say "really qualifications don't count, only relevant facts and principles"...when you go to the Dr do you say the same thing to him/her...NO...therefore qualifications do count and this is one of the reasons why we have an obesity epidemic as people have there own perceptions on nutrition and exercise which are incorrect a lot of the time.
It's a silly example but by your own logic as you have no qualifications in anything then you're not qualified to give advice. In spite of this, you seem to be contending that you do know some relevant facts and principles.
.
it may be a silly example, but silly examples are usually the best ways to help slow people i.e yourself, to comprehend. (pun intended)
some of the comments you have made in regards to nutrition have been questionable at best...from what ive read of this thread chrispo's arguments have been relativley spot on.
Obviously you're very fast to come up with a pun like that. At such a high velocity I hope you don't miss the real point. There are many wallpaper degrees out there but it doesn't matter what anyone has got if they don't do what they do well. Even in the medical fraternity and even amongst specialists there are wide differences, as a surfer it's possible you'll have problems with one or more of the joints in your legs, if you go to the wrong orthopaedic surgeon your surfing days could quite possibly be over.

As for Chrispo and Yanks R Us, full of misinterpretations but later dudes I have to work now.

well i'm always right

lot these post bit over my head....but i get the gist/jest of the slanging

i think slowmans idea was too get us "TO THINK" about our diet in regards to our surfing :!:

and i have.....given my current energy levels  ( just slept for 20 hrs  ) i'm gonna give this a go next couple days

"The following technique is one I've strongly wanted to suggest in the past but hesitated because it's hard-core and doesn't follow the rules. Athletes, bodybuilders in particular, practice this protein exclusive principle to muscularize before competition. You are going to eat tuna and water for three days. You see, only the strong shall survive."+

i just need some more energy.....day 7 of swell.....energy levels radically dropping

+ some random website  hows my quotes skills  do i win a degree

This diet will have you sorted in no time.

Breakfast: Cocaine
Morning Tea: Bacon and egg roll, with a big serving of chips
Snack: Big block of chocolate. More cocaine
Lunch: Buffet at the local RSL. 6 beers and a double vodka chaser
Afternoon Tea: Sneaky hamburger with the lot and side of chips. More cocaine.
Snack: Another block of chocolate
Dinner: Family sized supreme pizza and a handful of sleeping pills
Desert: 2 liters of ice cream and a ton of chocolate topping

Repeat x 6 (trust me, if you wanna have a bod like me, this really works!)

now....back to my tunna diet and another quote seeing as it stirred yanks just a bit

"Exercise with moderate weights for clean reps to accommodate temporary low calorie strength loss. Press on as the body adapts and you become familiar and confident. This is a rigid practice to test your resolve, investigate your chemistry, break some troublesome habits, and narrow ever widening margins. It will bring you to the doorstep of the ketogenic diet where protein intake, exclusive of carbs, creates a ketone burning system for energy. Remember, certain aminos combine to form glucose for energy as well"
