todays waves

Post by puurri » Mon Oct 01, 2007 5:18 pm

YOU REALLY MISSED TAMA TODAY.

Saw c'watch on Nulla abt 1230HRS, nowhere else showing much.

Went to Tama abt 3PM. It was going off, real zipper tubes abt 12secs. One set ran lines from Mackenzies to Sth Bronte.

The 'bra was abt 2ft at best.

After watching the mediterannean sydney beaches all long weekend, sure glad i drove past beach on way back from shopping at half 3. Offshore 3ft sets at local. Nice surprise up spike in swell this afternoon.

Great offshore little lines to close the long weekend.

I finally got a few of you back.

by 3:00 it had picked up to 3 foot and there were so many great waves on the decent banks

due to the lack of waves i stayed out till 5:00

....btw, I saw four separate rescues going down at the one time last summer ( when the beach was closed). Clubbies left, right and centre... swimmers arms waving frantically above their heads (no wonder they were drowning... should've been using their arms for swimming!). Dumb arse friggen tourists!

Trying to keep the bling untarnished or their mobile phones dry no doubt. 8)

thanks thomas, i was only trying to be a smart rrse and lay a false trail long enough to get another surf in this morning. oh well, surf was ordinary this morning anyway, but i have learned my lesson. say nothing. lay low, lights out and stay away from the windows.

Salty you're a tosser- sure they tourists, sure they cant swim, but of course you're gonna put your arm up if you are getting dragged out and under.

Maybe one day everyone at sydney beaches will be core watermen like you...

hmmmmm.....can i hijack this thread too start a debate about tv posers...opps sorry mean life guards :?:

i america....they don't have flags

is it just possible the australian flag concept is a out date in efficient way managing beaches

i mean HOW MANY rescues take place between the flags :?

minimal.....so concentrating our life guard ego strength @ THE SAFEST PART THE BEACH SWIM AT :? >>>>>seems a bit stupid at best hey

what we have here in australia is a tradition.....none it based on sound life saving facts or statics....it's all ways been done this way....there fore the small mind's running the life saving club believes it's the best

the "flags" are part of there pathetic authority...remove them and they just wouldn't feel like the mini Hitlers many are

really....bondi rescue  about as crediable as bay watch  only with much rougher heads :P

Good call Fongster.

Maybe abt symbiotic relationships: no "clients " = no jobs. Unless we look at local councils who try to protect everyone from their individual and collective stupidities with an eye to covering potential insurance claims.

Several prior posts cover this.

Actually they do, I was in San Diego recently and they have flags. They also have a tosser on jetski rounding up swimmers who stray outside the flags.
