But straight onshore. So not even a chance on the south side of the headland.
Raining and miserable, too.

Head high sets at the local. Clean and reasonable banks but inconsistent waves. Some pretty good others crap. Super fun though. Haven't paddled so much in ages, definately felt the lack of fitness, despite 8' of board lol

Similar size but fuller and a bit weaker. Clean as and crystal clear warm water. 9'er would have been epic fun

The Northern Beaches were packed this morning. Checked Manly cam before dawn and there a half dozen in the water already. Longy at 6am looked like a Sunday morning at 11. Ridiculous. I blame the warm water.

Lower NB around 10am - very relaxed and better than expected - a good end to the week

Everything is running fast at the moment. I hate that feeling when you want to catch a quick surf...or even a swim and/ or walk on the beach and there's too much on to do it. I reckon next wekk I will get back in synch....hang on...probably 50/50 on that score.

Some fun to be had this morning. Bit slow, but super clean.

Yeh, managed to have a few quick waves in the smog. Crowded but snared a few. Now off to wife's relatives function.

Against my better judgement I headed down to Snapper this arvo. Managed to snag a few off the rock and then drifted down to the inside and on the low it was breaking like Slater's wave pool. Only head high on the sets but got a couple from Rainbow through to Cooly beach and managed to get 3 barrels on one wave. Something I've never done on my backhand before.

Wow, great session and you'll remember that three barrel wave for as long as your brain functions. Head high is the optimum size for that stretch, I reckon.

Surprisingly OK Steve. There was only about 10 behind the rock. A lot through Marley and a lot less through Greenmount, I've always thought that of the 300 or so out there on a crowded day there is only about 20 people getting waves.

That bank through Greenmount is a thing of beauty.

Crescent early for the low tide, back Plomer beachies with myself and 3 mates the only ones out as the tide rose, lunch, back to the same bank after lunch again with only us out and then 2 waves at crescent for the low again right before dark. 7 hours of water time today, absolutely shattered.

Mid Manly mid morning and to my surprise caught a few and good end to the week (when I was leaving the tide had swallowed up the waves) - it seems a strange swell, swellnet etc report it as around 2-3 foot (where ???) and only Curly on the cams seems to have a crowd (and mainly close outs)

Beautiful conditions but surf ordinary at Longy

What a long wait is was for waves today at DYP.
