Re: Where did you surf today ?
Went for a paddle. Decided to give a different board a run. Wouldn't really of mattered either way. Got a couple of non close outs before the sheer number of punters sent me in. Ready for a run.

I hit it again at 11 - mate texted me before nine and said he couldn't get a park so I did some stuff and waited for tide to start dropping and mob to disperse. Southerly came up but not enough to screw it - faces still clean and nice walls and barrelly bits and some push - peaky and wedgy enough and tiny bit of current to spread the remaining punters. And swooped straight into a carspotalakaboo wrote:Surfed there today merks. Hollow.
About to head out for my third surf of the day. Mind somewhat blown by the possibility, on a family camping trip.
Say what you will about the anthropogenic destruction of the northern rivers region, and quite rightly, but it is still a great part of the world.
Pretty shit down here huh Boo? Wish I was back in Sydney surfing some real onshore wall-less one turn crowded mushburgers.

Were you next to the bloke on the vanguard? I was there about the same time

today was cracking ! 3-4 foot bowling peaks reeling off all over the place.Wubic Pig wrote:Wish I was back in Sydney surfing some real onshore wall-less one turn crowded mushburgers.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
lol. i wish. at the moment i'd happily trade places with anywhere with some decent banks.
but the surf was actually pretty damned good down here today. mix of peaky swells in the water, some real shapely runners grinding tight on the inside bank. it was more like 3 or 4 turns to a wave instead of just one or so.

Couldn't buy one today. Watched a guy get a decent tube, followed up with a bunch of hacks. Paddled out on the same peak and pretty much spent it dodging closeouts for 45 minutes. Didn't have the opportunity to hit it later with less water on the banks.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Guess I'll give it a crack after I digest breakfast. Looks like the last sunny day before howling winds, more rain and a drop in temp.

So you were surfing the same spot as Merkin.alakaboo wrote:I asked him what he thought he was doing.
He said "how fun is this?!"
I said "a lot more fun before some guy put his board where I wanted to turn"
He said "hah, good one! Woohoo!"
I don't think he was playing with a full deck.
He looked like the pedo from hey dad, with goggles and a hat
when we pulled up at his place my wife asked.
"who's the pedo from Hey dad with the goggles and hat?"

Little beach on the NB's. Oily glassy, fun little peaks early. Then the crowd descended. Out of there.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Same, in the water at 5.50 out at 7.30 and the crowd was pretty solid after 7. Water still warm enough for boardies and a vest.

Had fun yesterday but too many kooks today. Great conditions though. Some good lefts in the corner for the hasslers.
