Who shaped my board?

HI PPL
I have a Skipp tri fin.
I bought it around 1982, it is 5' 8" and has a channel bottom, the middle fin is in a fin box. it has the initials "ED SIN" and the number 7954 written on the blank! I thought it may have been a dude called Ed Synott. but the second name is spelt with an I.
Any one who can shed some light on it for me, I would be very grateful.
