I've decided to bite the bullet and dip my toes into a few bonzer builds. So my thought process is to build two 6'4 bonzer type boards, one a 5 fin and one a twinzer. At this stage the first template is done. 6'4 x 13 x 20 x 14. Next will roughly be the same and designing the dims this week. Not yet settled on rocker, thinking tail will be 2 1/2 but not got in my head yet the 12 inch marks. Nose will be from 4 to 4 1/2. Have not settled on 12 inch marks either. Will sort that out this week. Looking for side fines to be on 21 degree cant and glasses in. Beak nose and leash loop. Blanks will be sourced from burfords as seconds as this will just be a practice run at em. Sorta like live and learn. Here's a pic of the round tail template made with a baton and nails ( old school as I'm bloody old in this broken body ). Photo added tonight of the first round tail template. Twinzer template will be made next.

I reckon ive read that and others on sways about 29 times, was in Yorkys factory watching him build that one, it was beautiful to behold.

I made a bonzer 5 a while back and scored the side runners from shapers australia, I cant remember what I paid but they were around $20, it might be worth calling in to see if they have any when you drop by burfords for your second blanks.
