Am in the market for a new board, and stopped in to see Mitchell Rae recently. He did a pretty good sales pitch on his flex tails.
I've come across a few mentions of them in these forums, notably Shearer's classified ad last year that turned into a rant about guinea pigs. And various people who've surfed em in Indo and report they go pretty good in long fast hollow waves.
But, was wondering if anyone has tried the fish/fun board quad set up with the flex tail, in Oz beach break conditions? I'm ready to lay down 800 or so pingers, but not on a gimmick that won't work outside of Indo.

Re: Mitchell Rae flex tails
Outers work unreal in GOOD waves.....whether its a normal stringer or a V2 or a carbon tail.by good waves i mean grunty sucky faces.the sensation from the reflex of a carbon tail is like no other board.sheer acceleration that''ll blow normal tails away.
Mitchell is at the pinnacle of board design & has had many top level riders on Outers @ different times.Great artwork too.
