The Malibu area gets good waves from south and southwest swells in the summer. 30 to 60 min. north ventura county gets great waves from west and northwest swells in the winter. Yes you can post your ding repairs. And i'm going to try to do something about my yard sometime soon.

My lovely shed, will be losing the real estate has told us we have to move in about 5 weeks, oh well :(

Will get some use out of it this week I hope.

Hopefully we will get the place we have our eye on. double garage, but I have been told no shaping in there, but can glass in there :D Advantage of that is the glassing area will always be clean, will take the stands out under the sun on back lawn to do the shaping, not the best lighting but will be plenty bright enough I imagine.

got to my new place, made a spot for a shaping bay under the house, 2 and a half meters wide by about 9 foot long, have a seperate room off the bay that I keep the tools resignand glass, all locked up and in the dark. Ive hung blue tarps of the uprights to make the walls and trap the dust, wieghted it down with bits of wood. I keep the compressor in the locked up room and run a 10 meter hose along the roof into the shaping bay. Im making a 8 foot lighting stand and have a fluro light to attach to the roof for overhead lights, have my stands now set up and level in buckets and ready to go. I want to replace these stands with metal stands bolted to the floor in the near future. Hopefully will have the light stand early this week then should start shaping the next board by latest thursday, will post pics soon but wrapped in what Ive set up

not sure. guessing early 80's ?
it's a brick of a board, a serious chunk of foam but still has some performance attributes.
as you can see, the outline of the board at lot closer to a contemporary shortboard than a bloated fish type shape.
the channels provide a lot of grunt and hold, and the vee bottom keeps it turning nicely.
easy board to surf, lively and fast.
It's an old one. Probably around 1984 or 85

Surffoils: Very cool shed. I like the blue walls. But when referring to your wife. You spell it Mrs. As in, the Mrs.

Speaking Aussie English 101.

The Missus has been around in Australia since 1788 came over as part of the flash language which was mixture of the various regional dialects of England as spoken by the convicts, the Missus went on to have tin lids and later on we called Americans Septics, there were many other terms , and a dictionary was written.
Curious archaic forums of spelling of the language still persist like labour, honour, colour there are many more and since most computers (originally computor) insist on imposing the American spelling I point out that I reject this form of colonial imperialism.
This is because the old Tea party threw the tea into Boston harbour ( english spelling) because they wanted taxation with representation, guess what you still have taxation, still don't representation, and Australia is no better and we kept the old spelling, but the current government is called Labor and each day we have to do more of it to make ends meet.

But surfing shack, sheds rooms and their product shall always take us away from the petty charades of government.

Off thread, a rant after no surf for a month
Jaffa, I'm opinionated, and I'm sometimes right. So?

Hay otway1949: Didn't mean to rial you up there. Please excuse my ignorance. But I understand now. We are represented though, but unfortunately very poorly. Just cant find good representation these days. Post some photos of a board or two that you've shaped in your shed.
