Ive been thinking, maybe there is a paint pen I can use on the flames before glassing, and just freehand with black around the flames to clean up, will go to a specialist paint shop to ask, still have to get stuff to spray over the pint before I glass, here are the pitures of the flames that has been resized by dan for me

Diggs, I always use tape edge to do flames rather than cut them out with a blade. 3 and 6mm 233 tape is good for this. No bleed, nice smooth flowing curves.

Just fix it up at the end with a black permanent marker or posca on the filler. But this requires a steady hand, although you can lightly sand it off if you make an error. You'll just create more problems trying to fix it on the foam.

job done, you will notice one side is different from the other as I stuffed the template and had to free draw the other side, not exact but close enough for me and my lad. :D I dont think I will ever do flames again   Not until I make another board for my little lad

mmmmm, Ive learnt heaps, a stack load, no more spraying agian in this sort of humidity ever again, and I do mean ever. No more using that blue tape crap ever again, note to self, DO NOT SPRAY WITHOUT THE PROPER TAPE YOU IDIOT, ABSOLUTE IDIOT, NEVER AGAIN. i THINK i SAID EVER AGAIN DIDNT I.

must get better stuff than garbage bags to tape up boards with so I dont get overspray where I dont want it.

I want to get some tubing and make portable glassing stands as I am going to glass in future and I must get ready Time to get the shed ready, stuff the mower, it can stay outside in the rain :D

Time to save for a compressor, I have heaps of ideas for sprays but I cant do them with cheap spray cans from a auto shop. MMMMM, damn it. Money Money Money, its all so damn much but so much fun.

I have taken such a large learning curve its not funny. Concaves aint easy, no matter what people say, to get them smooth, no bumps. I did a single on tims board and today checked it out agian and smoothed it out some more, trying to blend it out better towards the rails and also no bumps in the board, not easy, need good eyes plus a good feel of the board if you know what I mean. Dont know if I got a good feel for it till we test ride the thing. I hope I got it right, its like waiting to find out if Ive won the lottery and its keeping me awake at night in anticipation at times.

I once went to bible college and spent 5 years there, you know, one thing I relised that after 5 years of study I knew nothing and had so much to learn. Ive done only 3 boards, havent glassed any yet, havent tested any, learnt stack loads and I relise that no matter when I started, wether 20 years ago or now I will never know enough and on this trip I will continue learning till I no longer can pick up a planner, its the best college in the world. YEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAA.

not in this weather, everything flooded, looking at doing something with glassing stands this weekend, will fit that in somewhere between surfs. After that holidays with family then will organize with mate some stuff to do the glassing. So looks like early feb now or late january, but will be glassing as soon as we are able to with the weather

   I have purchased 10 litre resin, got the stuff to make it uv, got some catalyst as well, just gotta get stands now and glass and some other stuff to get properly set up, should be 2 weeks at most before I can start glassing my sons board. Tim has already got his and dont know what is happening there, if he wants he can get some resin off me.

I have plans for two more boards and will be also ordering two blanks very soon. One for a school friend of mine and one to donate to my kids school so they can raffle it off. I have a compressor and some air guns and Im nearly ready to start making as many as i can afford, having so much fun but getting set up initally is a little bit diffucult. So many dreams of what I want to do and make, just takes time and patience. 8)
