Iggy I've surfed a little bit further round from that, near the sailing club.

It was knee high and I was on a windsurfer one design, like a big heavy log with a sail for powering onto the waves.

Been stuck at work late for two days and have been crawling around the southern tips of the Illawarra but haven't found anything that really looked awesome. Shallows was working, but packed out. Redsands looked unpredictable - I saw a boogey swallowed by an absolute monster this afternoon. He was held down a long time. Windang looked hit and miss. Sharkies was a paddle fest. Mystics was a giant closeout.

Then a mate sent me some footage of Garie from Monday - it had a left running like a perfect point. Incredible.

Yeah I've seen pics of it breaking. Down towards the mouth of the Georges river on an outgoing tide. A lefthander. It probably would've been breaking on Monday. I was almost tempted to go check it out of curiosity and get a photo, but was too amped to just hit the road south.

Yep and again today - although today wasn't nearly as good apparently. There was a bit of mix in the swell today.

Checked out Manly this afternoon and as big and clean as I have ever seen it up near Queenscliff. No tow ins and guys were able to make the paddle out. Just awesome to watch.

I was very tempted but time constraints left me surfing smoking Thommos yesterday and today. Today was more east, not as big but a little more potential for copping a couple on the head.

Some big sneaker sets still coming through! Big enough for me, that's for sure.

Magic Seaweed have a good photo of the Ox on what, I assume, was the biggest day. The rock off must have been nuts, never mind the paddling about and the wave riding bit.

Yeah. The truth.

Things on Monday and Tuesday didn't look so bad. But today the constant pounding on that outside bank is really starting to show across the road from me.

The local point is section'ing into deep holes all over the place too.

Loooong hangover, this one.
