it's a bit like that time I ate piping hot porridge in the middle of december in the middle of the day.

in other news. i can't rate the June we just had highly enough. i'm not sure there were many days where there weren't waves, with a few standout days thrown in for good measure.

july has been crisp and clean with some good banks around to start off with too ... i really don't want this run to end.

Few more days - was thinking of just swimming out and towing my board behind me so I don't have to lay on it

I've given up - going to be another week at least - I'll wait till the school hols are over and just get back into it with renewed vim and vigour.

Got the bucks too - thanks mate...

Overhead sets being ripped into by northerlies ... In July.

Felt like spring today. Even in the water for a swim, it's still boardies and long sleeve vest temps.

I don't like the look of it. Low never really clears the coast properly. Models show it sitting there like a bad smell.
Lots of bad weather, probably not much surf.

Might do something to the banks in Shidernee if nothing else. NB's are trying their best to be Gold Coast or Perth beachies at the moment, straight as.

had a look at a back beach, plenty of swell but wrong tide. we went for a snorkel in the tweed instead and then jumped off a sand pumping jetty.

still swell about today if you know where to look, I surfed alone in 2-3 foot really fun but fast point waves. I think the shark factor is involved, even up here. I'm not sure school holiday landlubbers make the greatest shark spotters but I figured the peanut gallery on the cliff would see something.

This guy lands his decked out sea kayak on the beach this morning and pulls out a metre + long mackerel and a small tuna and starts crowing to his mate.

GFS next week now looks Captain Insano.

There's a sand slug in front of a cliff that is going to be better than Kirra.
