Work said no to storing the kayak, probably have to go back to paddling before work rather than to work.
And after a few weeks of riding into the wind the SUP idea can get stuffed

it builds character boo.

you really want turn your wrists after your stroke when you paddle into the wind, so that on your upstroke (out of the water) the blade turns completely parallel to your board thus offering the least wind resistance and keeps your strokes per minute at a nice consistent rate.

Punched out a nice paced (concentrating on technique going at about 75%) 10km into the howling se wind on tuesday arvy and another 5km y'day arvy which was more of a sprint (trying to sustain 7-minute kilometres).

with your increased stroke rate with the above prescribed method, you should be sweet. you should have enough momentum to where if you stopped paddling you won't go backwards.

just keep punching boo.
