it's about to get real for FNQ.

Cat 5 and possibly going annular.

Braithy, you're a fcuking nostradamus....I'm never mocking your predictive skills again.

But in reality is the swell from ex Ita or the Tasman low. I'm thinking more so the later.

How far south will Ita impact?
Just my luck brissy gets obliterated before my appearance on Good Friday.

Models for sydney and surrounds by Tuesday next week show faaarking big waves.

Is this the end?

agreed Don.

Gut feeling is ITA will slide SE as she comes into our swell window.

Sunny Hoax might score a glancing blow.

Yeah, the mangoes never lie. They say this cat 5 is spinning up 300-kay winds. Heavy.

Hang on a second... you were mocking me? I thought it was playful banter among friends?

With little to no ridge to the south of Ita and her quick whisk away to the SE I can't see any real swell coming from her. All eyes on the Tasman IMO.

The mango theory doesn't give a shit about swell don, never has. It's about large land-crossing cyclones.

Anyway ... the latest BOM charts indicate the tasman low won't do much for SE qld wave chasers ... ita on the other hand might reel off 8ft Kirra.

Braithy I'm not talking about this weekend. I'm talking about the Tasman low mid-late next week.

Iron clad guarantee of 10ft + for NSW
This prediction is looking ok. Current tracks show it heading for the tip of NZ, reckon Easter is going to pump.

Every time I look at the charts, the prediction from 8 looks bang on. The low out near NZ is looking big now.... To me I'm thinking 8-10 foot for Saturday, maybe even bigger. ))((

hoax ha ha, nice, you made it happen shearer.

so let me fcuk up the mega cut off low this weekend that threatens to produce a really huge SE close range storm swell for everywhere sth of Newcastle. Because the last thing I want to do this Sunday is ride a really fcuken big wave off some bombie reef not far from my house. I mean that would be a really irritating waste of time.

Shouldn't that be in the "Other things I hate" thread?
