anyway, great if it greens up Pt Plomer.

That storm front approaching NW Brisbane last night literally stalled and fizzeled out about 2-5kms from my place last night. Based on the approaching radar images, we were in for a solid burst of torrential rain as the front approached.

nice supercell tracking towards us right now.

The one near amberley has just gone black on the radar!!!

Toowoomba copped a punch this afternoon.

What's ya thoughts on this latest pattern Steve? Certainly looks like we've gone from drought to rains all in a matter of a week and there's more to come by the looks of the latest charts.

Could I trouble one of you gentlemen to provide me with your insights for surf in Taiwan over the next week or so? I head off tomorrow night, staying in Taitung on the southern end of the East Coast.

Hmmm, not great Tonga. Nothing over a combination of 2-3ft long range and mid range (tradewind swells) E to NE swells. NE winds look to plague you around the same time also so that's gonna limit options at the swell magnets.

Seems like I'm yet to break free of my curse of getting skunked on surf trips.

I only looked for this week.

Got some hail today. It'd melted by the time I went out to get some for the kids.
They don't believe it exists here, they think I'm making it up.

Gold Coast got fecking smashed today. Hail and winds up to 140km/hr!!!

Next week from Tues onwards certainly has more size from the NE with a building trade wind swell but NE winds look woeful also. So if you can find a south facing beach outta the wind it might have some fun little windswell peaks to play with.

Hmmm. Here's hoping local topography means cleaner conditions in the mornings at least. I'll let you know how it goes.
