Fiji Comp

Any predictions swell wise for the comp? Long range models are showing no shortage of swell, but unfortunately have quite strong winds to boot, which would tend to rule out Cloudbreak one would think. Not sure if there's enough swell and/or the swell direction is ideally suited to Restaurants either??

Do they have trials for this comp? If so, they look like they might get some solid stuff, although the peak might just arrive before the trials (assuming the trials are only on 1-2 days before the main event starts on June 2?).

Well, doesn't look to be much more than 4-6ft for the first week of competition in the main event, but long range models are certainly showing some damn promise for something substantially larger in the 2nd week of the waiting period. But this is a long way out, so let's see what pans out closer to kick off time.

Question is, how many pros will be flying over early and hooking into the macking swell inbound for this coming Thurs/Friday?

Anyone know who's the official surf forecaster for the event? Can't find anything, including a sponsor (surf forecaster) on the Volcolm website?

Surfline, I'm pretty sure Don. The trials have been run and have just the final to go. That'll be this week when the swell kicks in.
