Tavarua in January.

What surfer doesn't care about the weather? Who hasn't predicted the arrival of a new swell? Do all of it here!

I'm pretty sure a similar question to this was asked this time last year. Might be worthwhile searching under Fiji (I think that last guy was going in Dec).

Anyway, swell wise, I'd say small, inconsistent swell with perhaps the odd random surfable SW swell, depending on when/if there's any node of the LWT pushing out under Tassy at that time of year.

Biggest risk will be a tropical cyclone bearing down on ya, so I'd expect some rain during your trip at least.

Going over next week to stay at Malolo. Where can I get an idea of conditions while over there? MSW? As an intermediate level surfer (who surfs mostly beachies) are there breaks I should avoid even when around 5ft?
