Holy Cow!!!

Post by WANDERER » Fri Aug 27, 2010 11:13 am

Just might happen to be in the right place at the right time for a change, or it looks like that will be the case come Saturday through Monday... fingers crossed it all comes to fruition, so many mouth watering setups round here, wishing I had a shortboard for these ones, may have to go see if I can find one if it comes to the crunch.

Are you sorted for rubber? I assume you'll need some serious neoprene up there.

I've got my 3/2 fully sealed liquid seamed thingey and I've also got a hooded 5/4/3 plus booties and gloves, so whatever turns out to be the case I'm pretty sorted, I'm thinkin 3/2 with booties at this stage, booties mainly because of the cobblestone beaches and presence of varieties of shellfish, water quality here can be questionable apparently so best to avoid the possibility of gashed up feet.

That's more than reasonable, post some pics if you get out there.

Sorry RickyG, no fotos, strictly taboo, there's a lot to protect from prying eyes up there and hence I never felt comfortable having the missus take fotos, was warned about slashed tyres on 3 seperate occassions, a bit over the top I thought, but, I guess when you take into account what's at stake then you can kind of understand it. All I'll say is that if you crammed noosa, byron, crezzo and coolangatta together you'd still be coming up a few breaks short... if ya check out google maps, the section from Devils island to Seaforth is pretty self explanatory.

Currently I'm in Boston, had a surf at fortune rocks Maine today, hurricanes hitting off here in the next 24- 48 hours, alas Boston is no place to take adavantage of it. May take a look at Long Island NY, heard some good stories about that place.
