Re: July's mega south

and how exactly does one calculate the effect of sunspots differently on each and every fairly small surface of the earth. what was the prediction for, say, Tennessee for the same period. bit like using sheep's bladders to predict earthquakes really isn't it. One doesn't. One looks at what happened...

Re: July's mega south

Jeezus....sorry, doesn't his son do it now. Thats who I mean. Maybe he speaks from the grave..... Yeah. Haydon Walker. My understanding is that Walker predicated his forecasts on sunspot activity. In short he was transposing a mid C19th charlatan wanker delivery to a sympathetic (Queensland) audien...

^^^ Interesting stuff. They usually trade it and other gongs amongst a tight circle of mates / the sisterhood (Grenville, Fox, Heiss etc). If you can't crack a gig at the various writers festivals or a Bundanon or a Varuna residency then you're on the outer. FWIW it's a real self serving bitchocrac...

Re: boards stolen.....

I think DV8 and speedneedle would be the only ones on this forum who might know my details (and maybe mods/admins). Well you see. That's the grey area. Serious assault case - court order on Don Norris - case very much out in the open. Especially if Unit decides to deny all charges and proclaim his ...

Re: boards stolen.....

LOM, I don't understand your problem. This is a discussion forum. Chris has expressed a very genuine concern in this electronic age. One can assume our comments on here will go unnoticed but we've had a few instances of Realsurf being quoted elsewhere so it's not too way out to consider it might hap...

I got two sessions in Don's swell today and I'm gonna get more tomorrow.
I just realised today when I was paddling out at 2 pm that even 2 years after retirement I still sometimes feel like a truant when I surf during the week.
I'm working on overcoming that.

Re: Best wetsuit you have had

I've never taken very good care of my wetsuits except to occasionaly rinse them off with the hose while they are hanging up. As someone else said, I eventually learned to hang them in the middle not by the shoulders which all stretched and became virtually see-through. Only buy O'Neill, good fit, go...
