One of Kirks?

How big?
Not sure how big, was back in Nov.95, 10' something maybe 11. I'm 5'8".
Yes it is one of Kirks personals, He lent it to me so I could go out with him as I only had an 8'8". It had never been used so I had to promise to pay $700 us if I broke it.

Re: Mystery Surfers

If I was going to single one out it would be lynch, but all of those guys from that era would do just about anything to top up the cash to keep surfing, they had too. I thought we were talking about the bloke that turns up every now and then that surfs as hot as a pro but hardly anyone knows them.

Re: Mystery Surfers

Well known mystery surfers- Jock Sutherland,Owl Chapman,Keith Paul, Ted Spencer,Wayne Lynch,Peter McCabe, MP, Jim Banks... How can all these guys be a mystery if there well known? The only reason they seemed to be a mystery is because that is the image they projected in the magazine article to pay ...

Re: Mini Simmons

Here we go...this will fit mini-simmons and fish up to 5'8". This fabric is good stuff. It's ribbed for your pleasure. Not too heavy. For those who'd like a cover that will be easy to slip over the board and stop wax and water off a wet board coating your seats. Simple drawstring at the tail end. L...

Re: Nw desert WA

Why is it so hard to get a crew together to venture to the other side of the continent? Anyway, I have finally convinced my retrenched brother to do the mission for 2 weeks in June/July. Be great to hear others experiences who have done the trip and what to expect. Make my life a bit easier in orga...

Re: Lorne - VIC - where to stay and surf

There is a backpackers in Lorne by the river, probably expensive, anything on the great ocean road is. Lorne does not actually need a big swell, can be banks on the beach which pick up more swell and any swell with a heap of south will give you a small wave on the point, it never gets over 3 ft anyw...

Re: jet bottom surfboards

I bought 2 pipedreams off of Earl in 1990 a 6'6" and a 7'0" made with J/Bay in mind , I spent a winter there riding those boards up to solid 10'. Fast is an understatement, but they worked best if you were constantly turning , you had to work those channnels to get the most out of them and the spray...

Re: Recommended Surfboard Coffins for travel

Had a bit of a look at it, mine are much the same but with a canvas sides with 10mm foam it wont fold in like that, I don;t like the nylon codura but I may have to compromise, I reckon I could get a cover under 2kg but I dont know how long it would last.
