Started for me more years ago than I care to admit (not because Im ashamed of age, but embarassed at how incompetent I still am) with an annual trip to Cornwall, UK from London, but it was more about drinking and shagging than surfing. A few years of that, and even though I could still barely stand ...

Funny that this load of shite being posted on seemingly random threads does indeed make a valid point - the last couple of days have felt like June again.

The company that are making the one in Bournemouth, UK (which only ever gets a couple of foot of windchop, and is a completely unsuitable place for a reef) have had to stop construction for several months. They were caught by surprise that it gets cold and dark in winter  Really. So you can be...

Buy a set of futures from the UK, will cost about $20, and then get them posted here for another 10 bucks.

I just did this a couple of weeks ago. Fins from www.seabase.eu

My Simon Anderson quad goes like a bullet.... for the three or four nanoseconds that I can keep control of the damn thing.

But thats entirely my fault - the board is a greedy little wave magnet which takes off like the space shuttle. Sadly I take off like a paper aeroplane.

I'm not Simon Anderson either, and Im not going to whine about his boards despite the fact that I can barely ride the one I own due to it clearly being a high performance quad and me being a low performance surfer.

Pretty inconsistent. The south coast (apart from the extreme west) generally gets less swell than the north coast of devon/cornwall, and most of the breaks dont have enough exposure to westerly swells. Some of the breaks round plymouth have questionable water quality too. But having said all that, o...

hey, good to meet you people, and to be bossed around by a beer addled photographer

beer was good, bullshit was plentiful, barrels were woefully inadequate, but it was a top day nonetheless.

So... northern beaches, sunny saturday, no actual surf but at least some water to paddle about in, and a BBQ? Is that the plan?

I'll try and pop by. Someone might have to adopt me as I have no idea who anyone is :?

I was 'rubbish' ten years ago, 'cr@p' five years ago, and Im 'embarassingly shite' now. I fully expect to be 'abysmal' in five years hence.

So I think my surfing has been fairly consistent over the years.
