Can all the south-siders vociferously refuse to travel north? Thanks.

Re: RealSurf Winter BBQ - Sunday 12 July. Long Reef or Narra

Us southerners would drive north to park at Dee Why and it would cost us FIFTEEN FECKIN' DOLLARS to park for the day... (okay, unless you have the sense to park in the road) ....but the parking at maroubra is FREE, free I tell you. Therefore, by some inane, arbitrary and irrelevant moral justificati...

Ooh, Bronte would be good... then I could make a twat of myself in a drunk inebriated incoherent manner, rather than an unbalanced unfit kook kind of way.

Or possibly both

Seeing as every 14year old wants an Al Merrick or some such thing he's seen in a magazine or in a video, then exposure has got to be a good thing in terms of sales?

Re: get out there

Was double overhead in the eastern 'burbs this morning. Waaaaay too much for me, and was shutting down in a board and body splitting kind of way at maroubra. So I went and found a much more relaxing 2-3ft beachy reefy to play with (and still got spat out of a barrel onto the rocks...) Back ou...

Who was out at north 'bra this morning?

So, as you might have noticed, there's been a bit of swell recently  I popped down to maroubra this morning, just to get a couple of photos, knowing full well I wasn't going in. To my surprise, the North end was almost empty - partly because there was a comp on, mostly because it was feckin' ...

Re: ORDERED OUT OF THE SURF

Yup, the 'guards in blue at maroubra have been right aggressive the last couple of weeks. I was out the weekend before last, and exactly the same scenario of surfers drifting into the flagged area but causing no danger to anyone, and the lifegaurds constantly hurling abuse and all kind of threats :r...

Re: STUPID ways to ding your board

On a pathetically small day, I tried to do some piss poor floater thing over and across the board of some chick paddling out. Utterly failed on the floater, slid off the lip and put a fin right through this chick's board.

...Turned out to be my girlfriend. On one of my boards  :|

Re: Today's king tide give you global warming? 12/01/09

What the f^(& has the king tide got to do with global warming anyway? Media was all over it saying there'll be more king tides - no there wont! King tides are due to the positions of the feckin' moon and sun! Rising sea levels will make the tides correspondingly higher, yes, but will make fec...

Yes. And Yes.

It turns out I surf like a chimp with my knuckles dragging in the water like some kind of surfing neanderthal. Not pretty at all.

And that 6ft barrel turns out to be a 2ft closeout. :(
