I've given the fishos knot a bash in the water plus a reef with like a fisho on either side, can never pull it tight enough in the water to get it to hold. If you get the knot tight enough so the leggy stretches out and gets thinner it will bite on itself and hold for a while. Pretty hard to get tha...

If they melt when you heat them up they are thermoplastics and you can weld them back together. Challenge is keeping the join clean - use a lighter or flame and it can get too hot....if the plastic smokes youve contaminated it . Best bet is to clean whole area with alcohol wipes and then use a hot a...

Luck and what waves come along, fitness all play a big part but I reckon the mental state of each competitor has the biggest impact. Toledo is just so damn confident of what he does in small waves and is tearing it apart in that domain. Nobody else attacks those conditions like he does or pulls off ...

Owen did alright @ the box as a goofy.... Cloudbreak, Chopes and pipe last year, all heavy lefts, all natural footers won. Granted they don't have the gnar factor of the box but still I don't reckon it is that much of a disadvantage to Nat. On big occasions he always seems to talk himself out of it ...

GFS just called 200mm plus of rain for Sydernee On Wednesday. I'm sure it will get revised to something more conservative but that is still a fruckload of water.

ah well it's moved by a few days and couple thousand km's.....hard not to get excited this time of year.
