Re: that wetsuit discussion...

This from Charlie Kernan at King of Water Sports... "Unfortunately we are not able to send Rip Curl wetsuits to Australia, there has been a directive from Rip Curl saying that we are unable to send Rip Curl suits to Australia. I am sorry but we do not want to annoy them as we have a very good relati...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

I recently wrote to Rip Curl - by snail mail as they don't have an email address on their site - to ask them to justify the huge price difference. Have yet to hear back, but not holding my breath. I suggest that, apart from finding ways around it, hound them to justify themselves; actively boycott t...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

Anyone know who blocks certain brands/products from certain territories? Is the Rip Curls etc. bringing their considerable weight down on these online retailers?

Global market, my ar$e.

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

I've run into the same problem but used Bongo - https://bongous.com/ - without any problems. Adds a little, but still much cheaper, depending on what you're after.

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

I've got an interesting story about my attempts to get a buell wetsuit. Trying to get a response from these guys is like trying to get a dollar out of Gina Rinehart. I'll keep trying because I'm pretty interested to try the product, but Christ, could they do with a bit of kick up the jacksy custome...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

Hey Olds, you get your wettie yet?

Also, did you order yours online, or did you have to preorder and, if so, did you call or email?

I got a pretty swift response initially from Buell when I had a couple of questions, but am now having trouble getting them to respond to a preorder request.

Re: Where are they now ??????

Anyone know of Matt "Doormat" Hepworth? Surfed with Cheyne Horan at Bondi in the 70s/80s.

Also, Greg Graham, Peter Dragar and Louie from North Narrabeen?

I think Greg's in Byron, but no idea about Peter or Louie.

Seems a lot of people miss your points, Roy.

You have, however, just proved mine. Thanks.

Yeah, I reckon you might be right. Shame, because it could be an interesting discussion. He reminds me of Tony Abbott - blocks anything that doesn't support his agenda.

Re: 'The value of nothing' .... Daily stoke article

Poor Loofy. Trying to have a reasonable discussion with Roy is akin to wrestling a jellyfish. Roy, doesn't your original post negate any dialogue that follows? By posting a link to an article about yourself, you're marketing and promoting yourself. The lifestyle you purport to subscribe to, in my op...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

The Pro has less or no seam sealing tape or something like that, for lighter weight and more flex at a cost of reduced durability. Really, neither suit is going to last for long anyway so it might disintegrate in 12 months instead of 14 months like the non-pro model. Thanks, Legion. My curre...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

Purchased a 3/2 E3 E-bomb Pro Model. Its a great suit so far, so soft and stretchy it feels like wearing marshmellow all over. Super warm for Sydney's current conditions with warm water and cold air temps. I was surfing in a strong cold southerly wind last week and was so warm I had to keep my feet...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

You know, I'm not sure that the response from SurfStitch stands up to closer scrutiny. If it were a product that was made specifically for the Australian market, or it was a model that had to be tinkered with for us, I could understand that argument. But, let me be presumptuous, these wetsuits are m...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

Pretty good. But not that good considering you could buy this years Ebomb (the model up), for $300 bucks from the states incl shipping. Hey Beaver, where'd you find it for that? I've found it for $299 + $50 shipping at www.cleanlinesurf.com I thought I'd ask SurfStitch why there's a $274 dollar dif...

Re: Pro Surfing or UFC?

Kinda happened to me last week at Maroubra. I blew a take off and went over a big local. Totally my fcuk up. I was indecisive in a situation and stuffed up. He said he would, 'drive me'. I resisted the temptation to tell him I was okay, that I had a car. I also resisted pointing out that he was twic...

Ah yes, Mr Bubbles.

That thin blue stupid line. What a Fu##-up.
It wasn't the Mr Bubbles case but it was the first case of its kind in Australia where kids were able to give evidence by video.

Prick still got off. Hope he necked himself.
