Re: How is wave height measured in Australia?
Yeah I do quite like having arguments. But you’re not arguing, you’re just doing your usual thing of saying something totally unconnected when your nonsense is exposed rather than admit you’re wrong.

Re: How is wave height measured in Australia?
I’m going to try to speak really slowly and clearly here ok? You say that you use actual feet, so for a wave that measured four actual feet (48 inches) you claim that you would call it four feet. In the previous example that I posted, the wave was four actual feet. I, and pretty much the rest of the...

Re: How is wave height measured in Australia?
Sorry beany, I think you’re getting a bit confused again. You (and Trev) are the ones who make a big show of shaking your heads at the idiocy of ‘surfer feet’, but then repeatedly out yourselves as users of ‘surfer feet’. It’s a bit like when you thought you were a covid ultra when you were going ou...

Re: How is wave height measured in Australia?
Can't help myself. Calling any object which is double overhead, 4-6ft is just fucking ludicrous. Regardless of how many people and "authorities" do it. One of the previous times we’ve had this discussion, I posted up a long boarder on a shitty little wave that both you and beanpole agreed was two f...

Re: Just general surfing stuff
It’s gotta sting if you’re steve. You finally - finally - get admitted to what you see as the inner sanctum after years of patiently tapping on the door. You get your chance to write a handful of surfboard puff pieces; you feel the thrill of the baksheesh that makes the corporate surfing world go ro...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...
Maybe go 4/3 instead of 3/2? n of 1, of course, but I’ve noticed that being warm in a decent 4/3 means I can take my boots off when the water gets to 13 or 14 degrees. It does feel superficially chilly but never bone deep freezing

It's fine. You've got older, your physical conditioning has fallen off a cliff and you're trying to spend your way out of a hole, ignoring the sensible side of your brain that's whispering "it's all bullshit" and gorging on the Kool Aid instead. Happens to the best of us
