Re: that wetsuit discussion...

On the Back vs Chest zip preference, I have a very short neck and quite a lot of muscle built up in that area which makes the back zip option very uncomfortable as the extra thickness of batwings, Velcro and flaps etc interferes with my head lift. Hence a preference for chest zips, I even have a sho...

Re: Ask Carroll

I've noticed that since I've made slight improvements to my general surfing ability that I now tend to stand with a more modern(?) weight on front leg, back foot tilted forwards towards the front of the board stance. I also feel I am putting more weight and stress on the front knee when I pop up, co...

Re: Ask Carroll

Yeah I was referring to the old D fin logs. There's a 16yrold here who can do all the old drop knees and walking things on one, who also rips on a HPS and can do all the airs and things too. Just one of those prodigy types who surfs for fun and has never been in a comp. What about a modern high perf...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

I recently got a kit made by ocean and earth, it has some liquid seal in a tube and large piece of iron on patch material. The seal is very runny and this is actually good as it seaps into the tear and eadheres to everything, works well. havn't tried the patch yet.

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

Just about to send back the crappest wetty I've ever had, the Quicksilver fuseflex 3/2 2014. Ive only worn this thing a dozen times and it has completely failed, with seams splitting on every panel. It has the furry lining, which while it dries fast is not as warm, flexible or durable as my old Onei...

Re: Ask Carroll

I thought the stabiliser in twinny would be there to let you feel the centre of the board, much like the dicky little ones some folk use in quads? Newy also has the best chicks too.
