Re: I swear im a zing!... What could cause this

im more at home being goofy like with ever other board sport i do... I'm the same with chess and scrabble. Monopoly though i can switchfoot, no probs. But don't be dismayed Nicky. Many RealSurfers i suspect are goofy too. Just can't admit it. And, as you can see in the God thread, that despite copi...

Re: Australia vs. USA Culture

But on this note, my issue with Australians' shortcomings here, are what i've perceived to be an inherent lack of respect and support of 'the intellectual' in our society. A dread and fear of those who chose words and thought over brawn and dogma. Our lack of intellectual vigour in the press is an ...

Re: Australia vs. USA Culture

Boy, it's starting to look like Braithy against the world here. Can't come to your defence though, as other's have rightfully pointed out, decrying Australia's lack of culture based around myopic experiences - neighbourhood racism, US college baseball jaunts, belligerent attacks on our unchecked dri...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Ventured south of the border today. Far from kamikazi Germans, and Tuesday being Brazil day in iBond... But feck me stupid, the place was swarming with too many 30 sominks with state of the art wetsuits and haicuts. And boards worth more than my mortgage. Don't they have desk jobs!!? Got a few pearl...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

A bit off the rocks myself this morn. Too much celebration of love last night. The union of two Friends and long time lovers by the harbour in blissful leagufree surrounds. Designated music man. Alternating between selecting and shuffling, beer and whiskey. Ah. ... For the love. Saw some high tide p...

Re: Great Coastal Walks

Nice. I'll do the walk one day. Those shacks are somink else. Tourists and locals alike are blown away when i take em round to view. Remnants of Depression era. What a spot to get away from it all? And so fecken close to metropolis!! One of these days, i'll stash my board on board and sneak a quicky...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Ahh, the King has shone his light upon this sordid spat. Trust you to illuminate us worthless serfs Dino. But thanks, I found this article poignant and disturbing in equal measure. I'll admit to not being clued up on the history of the characters in this sad eventuality..... And I can't offer a qual...

Re: Great Coastal Walks

Early 90's, living in Southport, Tas, I used to walk into South Cape Bay numerous times with a few local surfers. 1 1/2 hr walk from Cockle Creek. Easy peasy. Mostly scored great quality left off Lion Rock - right in the pic. On this particular day I set out for a walk in with girlfriend (in foregro...

Personally thought it disrespectful to post after Nicks last post. Perhaps another thread was in order for some grief counselling , sober debrief, and/or hectic cat fighting over the will.

A rather sculptured lass, who used to perch herself on a boulder at Ben Buckler?

I understand she rocked off and didn't make it back.
