It looks like the sand dredging boat can piss the sand about 120 metres.

If you look closely you can read the boats name.

Fantastic news that they are going to complete the Narrowneck reef and use sand filled geotextile bags which will be more permanent than pumped sand.

Why not finish the Narrowneck reef, there is a sandbag foundation already there. The reason they could not make it shallow enough was because the Mcquade dredge is a bottom dumper and cannot work/open up/move away in shallow water. Aye! Currumbin 2-3 ft, got 2 long ones, banks are good, with todays swell angle creating multiple take off spots.
Checked Rainbow and Greeny but not much swell getting in there, only 1 foot and lots of surfers doing lots of waiting.

A bonzer zot!
