Nice shots chris... looks like the after work/school crowd were all over it, but doesn't look too packed :) I had an RDO yesterday- went mid morning, and though it looks a bit bigger today, I got my share - no complaints when you are sharing a peak with only a few others... :D

When we start calling manouvers things like Passion Pop, I despair for the direction some folks are taking surfing....

do the thing by all means but don't call it something so ridiculous!

There will never be a clear definition of what is a "local".... Fong's point about paying rates excludes those who rent and younger folk who are under mummy & daddys roof, while NC's description denies those who by accident of birth did not have the luck to live near a beach in their formative years...

Great story, Surfanimals - looks like you should have taken option #1 :D - and that is one rough looking foot! I had a slightly frustrating surf today, when it should have been a great session - sun was shining, wind offshore and 3-4 foot... can't blame the crowd- only persons fault was mine. Haven'...

Cronulla - 17/04/08 (pics)

VERY wet and overcast down there today- I had to hide on a ledge under an overhang to avoid getting the camera wet today. Lack of light + Sigma 50-500 = using higher ISO, so a bit of unavoidable noise. 1. http://www.pbase.com/bookster/image/95748281.jpg 2. http://www.pbase.com/bookster/image/9574828...

I did the same, a bit of googling and such.... and I reckon greenwash is not too far from the truth. The claims of better stretch, increased warmth and longer life should be the selling basis of the "geoprene", not some claims that limestone mining is ecologically friendly. It would appear that Yama...

I was a long sleeve rashie wearer in summer, and found that they can probably make you a bit colder through evaporation, especially when the NE'er is blowing. I bought myself one of those 0.5mm neoprene long sleeve "rashies" and love it - keeps you protected from the sun and just that little bit mor...
