more girls in the water is fine by me... they seem less prone to be hassling tools than guys... and generally easier on the eyes as well :) Good on Layne, she's had a pretty stellar career, often derided 'cos she's good at putting herself in the public eye. With the lesser amount of money and recogn...

A board I used to have a few years ago made this humming/singing noise when you came off the bottom... I know it was something to do with the fins, but I always liked to think it was that the board was stoked :)

You should've gone about 30 minutes South, mate. Sweet little 2-3 peaks without the hassle. F.uck the weekend crowd and comps. 30 minutes south sounds nice, but the round trip would have resulted in one hour less time in the water... I'm on a limited timeframe! Sometimes you've got to take what's c...

Saturday comps.... on an already populated bank

Picture this morning....One decent bank on the whole stretch of our newest surfing reserve, looking rather crowded despite the small waves but still had enough to keep most everyone happy. Only a smattering of longboarders, thanks to their comp down at the alley. One of the local boardriders clubs h...

without knowing the ins and outs of the victorian real estate market, I'd say the price he paid in geelong for his new digs had something to do with it.... near the water= $$$!

Was surfing shallows one weekday, decent E-NE swell and came in near the rock outcrop on the left (looking out). As I was scrambling up and across it a solid line of whitewater decided that I needed some assistance getting in, safe to say those volcanic rocks don't have the traction of good old Sydn...

Seems he's given em a go buy buying the suit. If it doesn't perform I reckon he's entitled to say so. If little blokes want to play with the big guys (who we rubbish all the time), they should be willing to accept the kudos or winges as the case may be. I agree, I just thought it odd that he was ha...

Very interesting salty. I'd rather not mention the brand. Not a quikripabong. Suffice to say that if you don't live in the eastern suburbs you have probably never heard of them or been in their only store. They are a genuine small operator who I would like to support against the tyranny of the big ...
