Re: Where did you surf today ?
Not too far south of Sydney. On dawn it was only 2 foot, then soon spiked to a solid overhead swell with bomb sets close to double overhead. Started on a beachie, then headed to a reef point once the swell kicked in. Not perfect, but uncrowded and some good solid runs.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
South ends mostly poop until it's almost double overhead or bigger. It's a deep water wave mostly.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
The young kids-blokes surf it better than anyone for the most part. Particularly at that size. The wave lends itself well to skate style surfing, even more so when it gets the crumbly sideshore happening.

steve shearer wrote:looks fun. I'd ride my wife's 6'4" McT scooter. Little slab which trims out like a boss and turns sharp.
That'd be an ideal board for it. In those conditions I typically use either my 6'0 twin or single.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Just witnessed some young Brazilian kid tearing north maroubra to shreds. Backhand 360s, shove-its, Christ airs, and all sorts of crazy upside down shit I don't even know the name of. It was like watching a late 80s vert skating video. Totally off the planet.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
The mid to south end was a dredging shutdown. Too much south in the swell.
(Hi loofy. Is offering that up a simple logical observation being too much of a know it all?)
(Hi babasharky. I'm I grandstanding here by offering up an observation?)
