A couple of them from Newy. A few from elsewhere.
That's a sufficiently non-committal answer...

Re: Open debate. Why Sydney has most consistent surf
So you had good waves for two days, eh Hatchman? Not trying to sound smug - at least not deliberately - but from Friday to Wednesday it was 6 foot plus and offshore at south swell spots between Sydney and Newcastle. Six days! And for at least three of those days a keen surfer could've scored 12 foot...

Re: Andy Irons Dies
My point is and has always been that everyone in the industry and a lot of people who aren't knew about Andy's problems and no one stepped up to the plate to help.. The people who knew effectively enabled that behaviour That's a pretty big claim you're throwing around Jimmy. How do you know no-one ...

Re: review of Mccoy Astron Zot
If anyone's interested I just posted an interview with Marc. It's regarding the Lazor Zap not the Zot, but McCoy devotees may still be interested. http://www.swellnet.com.au/news/2353-whatever-happened-to-the-lazor-zap Cheers, Stu PS: Sorry for the redirect to another site but small portions of spam...

Re: Do you keep a surf diary?
They were filled full of SURF NEWS and COASTAL WEATHER. And you didn't think it was important enough news to make a special announcement. As people on these forums are wont to say, "pics, or it didn't happen" Are you serious Trev? I mean, at least TMC was just acting obtuse. Of course we didn't kno...

Re: Do you keep a surf diary?
Your mate at the bureau who says that any weather forecast beyond 2 days isn't worth spit obviously doesn't know how to read trends in weather, and use all the data available to make a confident call beyond 2 days. This statement is ridiculous. ohhh....so if that statement is so ridiculous why didn...

What's with the disappearing posts, Fong? Have second thoughts on that little nugget of information you popped in there?
Well, I saw it and I'll slip it away for future use.

Re: Do you keep a surf diary?
You do realise that you're not actually testing surf forecasting, but the models they rely upon? Well, much of forecasting is understanding and discerning the various models - what their strong and weak points are - and making a prediction based on your knowledge of how they work. Very few people u...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Don't know what you saw Jimmy but I can assure you it went up at 11:28. It was even updated (spelling mistake maybe?) at 11:31. I just double-checked this. Perhaps it's a cacheing issue where old reports aren't getting cleaned out? It could be a few things...

Went up at half eleven Jimmy. I think Jono had boardriders. Yeah, not great, but then we've always got the cam running if you need to know what's happening.jimmy1501 wrote:Where was the report for Bondi today Stu?

Point taken, Otway. The lack of hydrodynamics could've had less to do with the craft than with the person riding it.
And yeah, riding one gives you a fresh view of the pecking order and how it operates.
