bumping this old thread because I got a bad calf cramp yesterday at Bondi...made the bad decision to try and stretch it out in the water and keep surfing ....result : more gnarlier cramps ..and sore calves today. applied Deep Heat before and cramps dissappeared in 2-3 minutes. Stoked ! try the deep ...

What sort of car do you have. Get some decent racks and if you have an 8 ft board lock it up inside at night. You can walk everywhere in Byron so there will be no need to drive. Problem solved. by then I will have a mitsubishi sedan...It has lpg so guessing the back seat won't fold down. can't see ...

Those SPT things look good - but how exactly would you attach them securely so that board bag couldn't be wrenched underneath the strap

thanks for the responses..some good suggestions . another question - I've got some Billabong soft racks that haven't been opened ....but I'm kind of assuming I should get some proper racks before a big trip...what do you guys think - are those soft racks a bit half assed ?
