Re: Just general surfing stuff

I don't live in QUeensland thud, it's pretty normal where I live to leave a second board on the beach. Why would live somewhere that you couldn't?

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Be good for trekking into out of the way places, you'd leave the bag and extra board on the beach like you would any other day.

Re: Just general surfing stuff

With everyone getting away from it all for the Chrissy break, is the surf less crowded in Sydney?

Re: Strahan tassie

I know people that moved to Queenstown last year, they like it. Apparently you can get a house for 35,000. But what sort of house? Strauhn may have waves over summer with the easterlies blowing and zero swell, looks like a shallow beach. Having trial bay as a back up for when you get desperate would...

Re: Strahan tassie

Portland in vicco is worth a look, class waves, cheap housing, rental or buying.

It would also have all the support that you need, have friends that live there and they like it.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Swell popped up for a couple of hours early this morning, glassy 4 to 6 foot, surfed alone for the first hour, getting back on board, no pain at all. :-)

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Seen as though they retail at $875. $710 with Scloth seems pretty good to me. I'm out of touch with reality buddy, haven't looked at a price in a board shop for quite some years. Just been going to the same bloke for yonks and don't quibble on the price, looking through some of the threads I get a ...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

They have a one year warranty, take it back and you'll get a new one, and that will have a years warranty also. I liked them better when they didn't last, new wettie every winter, then they gave me one that lasted 3 years :-(

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

being a long time O'neill user, I have to say the quality has improved tenfold, the only complaint I have now is my wettie lasts past the warranty period and I have to pay for new wetsuits now. My two current winter suits have lasted well through 2 seasons and will do me for next year.
