I know a few blokes that were old school surf industry types that were drug dealers on the side or it may have been the other way around, any way they had sheds full of boards as it was a good way to clean black money, it's a hobby so you don't pay tax when you sell.

And what I'm sayin is even the hottest surfers riding the original model of that board back in the day looked awkward compared to surfers of today, yet there are young guys tearing on singles today,but they are completely different boards they're modern.

Yes, your right. He was a bit soft, should have had a 1 hour break and in that time a few more jet skis could be organised and they could have had half a dozen jet ski's with a bloke on the back with a shotgun(no shortage of those in J/Bay) patrolling the line up.
