I swam nude every day I was in Alaska and surfed an old windsurfer in some windswell during winter storms in a springsuit. was probably 8 or 9 degrees I reckon under the influence of the Kuroshio current. Air temp below zero. Humboldt county felt the coldest, surfing at the mouth of freshwater lago...

The heat analyser has made it too easy. I'll scroll through, watch the waves over 7.0 and move on. Didn't bother with Brazil, haven't bothered with Fiji as didn't really know it was on. JJF's surfing at Margo was insane, Snapper was underwhelming the way barrels were ignored, Bells quite forgettable...

I hope this resurects the North Narra: a locals perspective thread.

Some guy, JB or JD received a court order keeling him away from Narra for violence maybe 10 years ago.

It's frustratingly incomplete the tagging information they are releasing to the public. Took a mal out, waist high peelers, long waits but great conditions. Haven't ridden a mal for ages, a fun change up in tiny surf.

After the weekend, starting to realise flexibility and tightness through my hips is starting to impact how i surf. The fitness is fine, but after not much surf time the last few months, the hips are stiff and the pop up is slow. So for the 1st time in a while, i was pulling back or missing sections....

Quite a few good waves around today. Two swells in the water spread the crowds out and made it really peaky. Great fun!
