Because it ran for about 26 pages, with half of it in caps lock, one man versus the rest, skin and fur flying all over, then the thread got locked.

Curlie. Occasionally I'll look and be tempted, it looked fun, even got a reasonable wave or two. Then like every sesh at Curlie, I start to have a shocker. Screw Curlie and the horse it rode in on.

not neccessarily. self delusion is the primary form of delusion. 'if you are surfing long period groundswells on INdo reefs, mostly IMpossibles with tradewinds, it's almost certain an epoxy sandwich board, particularly an EPS core is going to be a performance disadvantage compared to a poly. What's...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

The joule is the standard unit of energy in electronics and general scientific applications. One joule is defined as the amount of energy exerted when a force of one newton is applied over a displacement of one meter. It takes 1 newton to accelerate a 1 kg mass at 1 meter per second per second. At ...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Yesterday I surfed three foot Iggy scale waves, that were about 1200 kilojoules, on a board around 38 litres of volume. Fatty boomsticks. It's an eighties thruster therefore beefed up. My standard good wave thruster (for clean punchy 3-6 foot) is around 31 or 32 litres. I "up the volume" when the w...

I saw that ad that Iggy posted and thought "Some sucker is going to be pissed off when he has dropped over $400 on that th...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I hate Curly. Always too far in or out. Only had one really good surf at the north end one summer when the bank was way out. Otherwise I avoid it.
