Re: Patellar snapped in half.

Good Back at work but taking it easy. Sleep is still a pain in the arse and I am over anything with codeine in it. Daytimes are good but I get a real ache in the arm and shoulder where the screws went in at night but it has only been 3 weeks. Movement is getting better but still need a hand to put s...

Re: Patellar snapped in half.

2 weeks in, saw the surgeon last night and all good. Start the pendulum swings or stir the pot style exercises for the next 4 weeks then I can start physio. He seemed happy with it and I can start losing the padding in the sling over the next couple of days. Driving is still a bit to go and I would ...

Re: Patellar snapped in half.

Well I have survived week one. Found out I also had long head of biceps tenodesis which after googling is basically cutting the long head of the biceps tendon from the shoulder and screwing it into the humorous which at least explains the pain there and the reason for not being able to bend the elbo...

Re: Patellar snapped in half.

Had my rotator cuff surgery on Tuesday. shaved back a bone spur drained the bursa and stitched and anchored a 2 cm jagged tear in the middle of the tendon with 4 screws or anchors. Ouch would be the word to some it up. Bloody hard to get comfy but it is only day 2. Good luck with yours Fong I hope a...

Amen to that, I hate being injured especially with an injury that just doesn't seem to heal or change.

Re: Patellar snapped in half.

I doin't know how you have managed to surf Fong, I can't do a push up against the wall without pain let alone paddling and getting up. I have been walking and floating when my mates surf. I think its 6 weeks no driving and in a sling which will kill me. Workwise I am hopefully going back after 2 wee...

Re: Age, diet, type 2 diabetes and you.

My dilemma is lunch. I tend to have a tuna, tomato and lettuce sandwich most days but if grains and bread is no good then what. Salad gets a bit monotonous and at work I really only have time for a quick bite. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Road trip: Sunshine coast - South coat NSW.

Merry Beach Caravan park near Bawley Point is great for kids. Kangaroos roaming everywhere and it has a nice outlook and abalone to score if you do a quick snorkle around the rocks. Good walks around the headland. You can also head over to Pretty Beach for a wave.

Re: "possible shark attack at DY"

Don Burke is well known in the industry as a cnut. He treats women like shit and has been bailed out when his popularity was high from unpleasant situations. There was talk that when he was in Paris, he had treated the crew like crap so one morning they went for a walk in this park and found this gu...

Re: "possible shark attack at DY"

Peace love and mungbeans to you too Reg. After sitting at work and watching the footage of the crowds at Bondi on the shore due to a shark siting I think the north coast would be a much better place to be. I will be there in a fortnight. :-) Why would anyone want to go to Bondi especially on a publi...
