on a quiet day, you can hear the cynical bastards laughing at us.

drag gets me off my gut. i want to run sections. plus when the waves are fat and weak, there's no way to get moving on the bb without reducing your drag. but i found it hard to DK - no fins, little board, and you've got flippers on - not the best for waving your feet around and placing them on a boa...

there's at least 3 middle aged kneelos that surf maroubra all the time that are some of nicest guys in the water anywhere.. they surf well and conduct themselves better than a lot of stand up surfers do.. the thing i've always wondered is how the fkk do their knees and lower backs feel after a few ...

as you'd expect, it made a big difference when i replaced the 12inch raked fin with a more modern design.

most kneeboarders are older guys who have been surfing since the early to mid 70s - they're all really skilled and so get respect. there aren't many groms or kooks in the game to give it a bad name.

people seem to regard them with nostalgic fondness. the hatred seems long gone.

i've never noticed any of this hatred or rage in the water.

i ride a science 7 - a classic dow board and a bargain at $280. i love it.

We still had black and white TV until March of 1975 ... and the mighty Gough was still (unintenionally) sending us broke ... but they were good fun times, too ... good surf (no leggies), plenty of soft drugs (no hydro) and buzzards that went off if you winked at 'em. those thai sticks were stronger...
