Re: Where did you surf today ?

don, the outer banks are in line with greenmount and break way wide into the channel. 1 guy in a racing ski was out towards the shark nets trying to pick off the bombs.
the sweep wasn't too bad, you had to keep paddling but it wasn't a river current.

spot x into kirra, 3-4ft with the odd bigger set. outer banks were 6ft but pretty much just a foam ball after take off fading into the channel. snapper is terminal with no hope in sight.

oh YEEEAAHH! and you can use the CraftCarrier to destroy those hard to get to spots.
My favourite though is the Kayak. Perfect for those too lazy or unco to stand.
We'll be welcoming goat boaters with open arms if these ever take off. Hang on, nah we won't.

I guess there is good and bad in most things and every beach has it's own all time days eventually.
Mid to South Palmy is another that I've never seen any good.

Re: what's the shittest wave in sydney?

agree with newport pool being a hoax wave. better suited to goat boaters i reckon. disagree strongly with mona basin lefts if you mean north point. had some epic surfs there although haven't surfed it for 25yrs. maybe it's changed. my vote goes to bilgola. hands down the most consistently crappy wav...

Well if it was me I would be looking around the Dicky Beach area. Always somewhere to get a wave (Ann St., Currumundi, Moffs). Prices were getting quite high when I was last there though.

Wetsuit repair help wanted

Does anyone have a proven wetsuit repair method? I've got a slight tear about 3cm in my springy and have tried an underwater pool adhesive. It didn't hold. I've heard caulking type waterproof sealer works.

Re: 8 footer or 9 footer

Yeah I know what you mean Spoon. I have a transition mini mal (8') but after a year or so find it too short and am now seriously considering a 9'. Jumping back on a short board after a few days of riding the longer one is great.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

little marley into greenmount 3ft on mini mal, many out. nearly got cleaned up by a tool who took off in front of me and promptly lost it half way down the face. a miracle he didn't hit me. heaps of dolphins and large birds chasing fish.

The best doco on our sport that I've seen. Congrats to all involved. The quality of old footage was unreal, must have been enhanced somehow. Good to see old Mona boy Bruce Channon again. Looking forward to part 2.

Re: Anyone tried M8R8 epoxy boards ?

I bought a mal from them last year and yeah it's pretty cheap and nasty (thin glass job) but it's good for when the waves are small and the crowds are out of control. At that price it doesn't matter so much if you ding or crease it.
