Re: RS BBQ Syd Dec 13 Sat - Longy then SurryHills/CBD/InnerW
Says the divide and conquer tantrum-tard. Because, at present, with duel locations running, at seperate times, both North and south, people can either chose to go to one or the other, or both. But you seem keen to "just make this an inner west pub gig" regardless. So if you want to have it all as si...

Re: RS BBQ Syd Dec 13 Sat - Longy then SurryHills/CBD/InnerW
^ thread title now. "Longy then SurryHills/CBD/InnerWest" ok. so Long Reef for the earlier part of the day is now a given. (( still get your name up there if it's not already )) though for the later part of the day, it's now down to location. so if the Surry Hills / CDB / Inner West gig is your thin...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
surfed some chest high weak as piss wind junk at an isolated beach in national park. totally solo, with nobody else out. but if it was a sydney beachie, even in those conditions it would have had at least a couple of dozen punters. Haven't had that much success going to Cronulla. i'm guessing you do...

Re: Step Downs
/\ for FW I like the look of the futura. Wide point slightly back from centre, pinched in ass end with the bitey little swallow, flatish rocker. That thing looks like it'd chomp up small waves

Re: Volume
The FW calc is silly, but I don't think the volume factor is to be ignored either. Since the inception of volume as a metric, for mine, I've found that for a shortboard that anything less than 32 litres will bog too much unless it's barrelling. And anything greater than 38 litres will have too much ...

Re: sell me your board - budget $250 tops
^ my past limited experience on tuflite has been that they feel quite ok and lively in smaller conditions. anything overhead or choppy, not so great. stiff and chattery. today was a tad overhead and choppy, and wave wise i didn't really get anything decent, but could sense certain elements of it bei...

Thanks anyway Phil et. al but ended up buying this 2nd hand for two fiddy. 6'2 x 19.5 x 2.5 pancho sullivan model, bushman. Surftec (Tuflite) Didn't necessarily want to go Tuflite but it should last and take a beating. Had it out today, but hard to comment on it yet. Fat wind burgers and all. http:/...

Re: sell me your board - budget $250 tops
hi phil. thanks for the offer. how wide and thick is the board ?
also - the only reason i'm considering tuflite is i want a near indestructible board for small waves. which it should be ok for. in bigger surf, i hate the stiff corky feel of tuflite.
