Re: Planning two weeks thru Oregon and Cali in May

I mean this in the nicest possible way Kulharin, but did your school classrooms always have two teachers?

Re: Planning two weeks thru Oregon and Cali in May

Fort Bragg/Mendocino and Santa Cruz have both surf and MTB. Redding is a good base for biking, if the snow has melted by then. Highway 1 between Big Sur and San Luis Obispo is the best stretch in California. Surf options are sharky and wild. That's a fuckton of driving in a 2 week trip. And a few of...

SRFACE look like a cheaper Yammie option. Doesn't look like they ship to Australia.

Re: General snow stuff

Could be 3 feet of snow in California over the next few days. Still way behind the average.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

My boss is 6'2" and 120kgs and has surfed a lot on Maui so he's not a shrinking violet. Your boss has a BMI of 34, classifying him as obese ... have a quiet word with the fat fuck. Believe me I have. Last week he was all excited telling me he lost 12 pounds and I responded "Great, only 50 to go".

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Santa Cruz has a reputation for fairly assertive localism in the lineup. Grooter and alakaboo, have you found this? Nah not at Pleasure Point. Seen a few arguments but nothing that constitutes localism Steamer Lane has a bit more of that vibe.but never experienced it personally I'd say it's a reput...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Thought it would've been wrapping in there a bit more.

Is there a reason you mainly surf Eastside?

I would've gone to Indicators.

Was excited to see Colby+ come out with some full Yammie suits at $300.
Until I saw they're rebranded Need Essentials.

Re: General snow stuff

El Nino in California normally means more snow, but later, and potentially higher altitude.

Nice farming.

Weather is turning warm here, it's a pretty shitty season thus far.

Pretty sure Jacob Wilcox was out there.
Think he lives around here now.
Thought he’d be prepping over in Hawaii for his Rookie CT year.
There's an international club championship at snapper sometime around now, could be there for that?

Re: General snow stuff

I'd put you on an all mountain board with cam-rocker or hybrid rocker and a medium flex. Directional, with slight taper and setback. That probably won't make sense but if you read reviews you'll see the terms. Goodride and the Angry Snowboarder both do decent reviews and have testers your size. I'd ...

Re: General snow stuff

Are you only going to ride in Tahoe? And stay on groomed slopes?

The rocker/camber profile depends on what you ride.

Buy new boots.
I have boots with the boa. Speed laces are good too.
Most important thing is to have dual zones, i.e. different tightening for the foot and the calf.

Clearly wasn't killed, but I got bumped by a tiger shark in Indo.
