Re: ever made a board you just want to smash with an axe?

yep, best board I have ever ridden and fixed it 10 times after the original surf where it came out at least 5kg's heavier - due to little flies attracted to the epoxy resin, which when sanded off created little holes all over the board
Broke it last year on a 1.5 ft wave at maccas

Re: the young clubbie killed at the aust titles on the goldy

I'm with dino on this, who is the politician responsible for this, they should be sacked forthwith. Having got that off my chest, I wonder what the reaction would be if someone died at the eddie ? I think it'd be more about they died doing what they loved and it was only them who put themselves out ...

Re: Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast presented by Land Rover

- Critical turn placement. Flat faced turns with little resolution (like what Blake was doing) gets ya nothing at all. Turns placed in steep areas of the lip, face, pocket etc, fully resolved (ie you come out the end of 'em with speed and precision) get you some. - Turn angles. Take the turn throug...

Re: Shearer at the Quick Pro

watching the rd2 hod and some thoughts; GP: where art thou style - his style seems a bit whiffy to me, especially that left hand and it's not just because it's forward but stiff. his 5.33 deserved more though BA: what was that second wave 7.93 and he does an air, hacks, barreled TJH just has to do a...

Re: little pluggy thing in Epoxy boards

:? pinhead posted as I was writing the main reason you need them in eps, imho is because the foam is blown with steam and hence you end up with a little liquid water in the board, when it heats up/vacuums out that turns to into a gas and pop. The xps (the ps is for polystyrene guard) is blown differ...

Re: little pluggy thing in Epoxy boards

I think vidal got some from bennets, give em a call - but your best of having a look around for some gortex ones they vent with needing to take them out.

Also I'm pretty sure you don't need them for a closed cell foam like PU but do for open cell like EPS, so you may or may not need them.

I've also seen one on the beach at curly many years ago. Having written smelt, it begs the question didn't you smell something? cause they are st...
